Birkdale Barracudas Swim Team

As a member of the Birkdale Barracuda Swim Team, I hereby pledge to follow this Code of Conduct:

I recognize that I am representing the Birkdale Barracudas and will act respectfully in and out of the pool.

I will encourage good sportsmanship from fellow swimmers, coaches, officials and fans at every meet and practice.

I will do my best to learn and listen to my coaches.

I will take responsibility for my own behavior at all times.

I promise to have a positive attitude towards my team members, coaches, competitors, volunteers and judges.

I will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean area at the pool, in the restrooms and the clubhouse of all teams in our league.

I will be humble in victory and gracious in defeat.

I will cheer on my teammates.

I will be on time and ready to get in the water for practice and meets. My equipment will be on and ready (goggles, cap, suit, etc.)

As Barracuda parents and fans, we will devote our energy at team events toward encouraging all participants (our swimmers, opposing swimmers, all coaches, fans and judges). 

We will leave the instruction in the hands of the coaches. 

We will leave the judgement calls in the hands of the judges. Any concerns will be directed to a Birkdale swim team board member; respectfully and privately. 

I understand and plan to fulfill the required volunteer duties and will refrain from alcohol prior to and during any sessions I am volunteering.
